hola!
Hi, I’m Diane!
A yoga instructor, wellness enthusiast, and student of life, based in sunny San Diego, CA.
I am first and foremost a dedicated mama to the most amazing little boy and feel so incredibly lucky to be on life’s journey with him by my side.
Life is a wild and beautiful ride, but it can also be hard at times. I am truly humbled to exist in this world, and I am honored to share the gift of yoga with you, my family, and my community. I honestly don’t know where I would be without my yoga practice and the wellness tools that I have cultivated over the years.
Weather you are just looking to add some movement into your routine, or over-haul your life, I am here to help guide you to your most joyful and authentic self.
Just remember, no one has it all figured out. Sometimes you just have to take the first step!
My Journey to Yoga
Facing Fears & Tuning In
Just Exercise?
My journey to yoga began in college (circa 2006). I honestly didn’t know what to expect… I had a preconceived notion that a yoga class would be like a dance class; I have zero rhythm, so I was afraid that I would embarrass myself! But after being an athlete in High School, I really felt that I needed to get back into some kind of regular exercise routine, and the normal gym stuff was not exciting. So, I decided to give it a try and I signed up for a Power Vinyasa class at the local gym. After the first class I was hooked!
Teacher Training
My background in retail led me to a job at CorePower Yoga in 2012 managing merchandise for some of the studios. While working there, I was approached by multiple studio managers to enroll in the Teacher Training Program. I have always had a fear of public speaking and the thought of teaching a class was terrifying to me. I think I said “No, thank you” about 10 times before I finally caved and said that I would try it. Little did I know that this program would be life changing for me! My teachers and cohort were amazing, I was introduced to deeper concepts of yoga, and I faced my fears of speaking in public. I completed the 200 hour training and received my certificate in the summer of 2013. Since then, I have taught yoga to kids, corporate yoga, beach yoga, yoga in gyms, KINE 110 at the university, and private yoga. I also completed a yin yoga training and I’m in the process of completing a certification for Healing Touch.
Constant Evolution
In the last decade or so, it has become increasingly apparent that most of us are feeling disconnected. The digital age has left us feeling, anxious, run-down, and imbalanced. These symptoms of dis-ease have not only left me with many questions, but also determined to embark on a quest for answers and realignment. Over the last handful of years, I noticed that I was gravitating towards yoga classes that ended with a harmonium or sound bowls. The music just left me feeling …. good! I couldn’t quite put my finger on what I was experiencing, and so I decided to explore Sound Medicine. Sound Medicine merges the sciences of Ayurveda and neuroscience, and helps people to tune into their natural environment as well as their own nature. Sound (especially Solfeggio frequencies) acts as a vibration that affects the human body and brain, altering neurochemistry and promotes relaxation by activating the parasympathetic nervous system. The “magic” that I have experienced through Sound Medicine, I now have the pleasure of sharing with my students and clients. Most of my yoga classes and Healing Touch sessions will incorporate sound medicine via sound bowls or tuning forks in order to promote physical, mental, and spiritual healing. These offerings have provided so much peace and healing in my own life, and I hope that they can help you on your journey as well. Namaste.

The Magic of Yoga
The magic of yoga is that as soon as we accept that we know nothing, all of a sudden the wisdom of the Universe presents itself. Life becomes more beautiful as we start to experience our environment with new eyes.
Through the physical practice of asana and breathwork, we are able to diminish the ego and quiet the mind chatter. And when that happens, all that remains is love.
